Challenge
Add a kitchenette featuring lively colors and patterns to enhance this rental space while providing kitchen amenities for renters.

Solution
The owner wanted a fun color refrigerator from the Smeg line, so we went with a mint color and found a coffee kettle to match at William Sonoma. A microwave hood by KitchenAid with 500 CFM vents the two-burner induction cooktop built into the countertop.

A pullout pantry to the left of the fridge provides storage, and we added cabinets made of textured laminate from Bellmont Cabinets.

Result
Fun and functionality in a compact space. Floating shelves with a live edge, both attractive and practical, keep the toaster oven, dishes, and glasses conveniently close at hand. The glass pebble mosaic backsplash ties it all together, pulling colors from the cabinetry and Smeg appliances into a cohesive presentation.
